This webitse makes things hella easy. – Leatrix 12-Nov-2016
But they won't be, will they Especially not if you sit at home instead of aalcutly going to the Singapore GP, thus incurring the risk of being asked by Lewis Hamilton to drive the car because he had a bad oyster the night before and doesn't feel up to it! Who knows, Bernie Ecclestein might pull himself up to his full height of .975 of a metre and punch you straight in the kneecap, what a great photo that would make, looking down on to his little re-sown head!Of course Bernie has his consolations, about 300 billion quid's worth – Adriana 26-Dec-2015
The BBC coverage of the race pieckd up an interesting exchange between Lewis and his pit crew when the incident happened something to the effect that they knew they had a problem with the box and their luck had run out. Which suggests that, if they had known of the problem in qualifying, then a conscious decision was made to run the risk of a race failure, as opposed to taking that mandatory starting place demotion (is it 7 places?) and get a new part I am not sure of the details, but just speculating on that radio chatter, I wonder who made the final call to go with a suspect box? Something tells me it might have been Lewis, who seems to have been making a string of rash decisions I rather hope he displaces Schuey at Mercedes for the rumoured a360 Million and leaves Jenson and McLaren free to get on and win next year's championship ;o) – Iqra 25-Dec-2015

I'm not sure I would characterize it that way. I think Vettel has done a good job duirng the races as well but Red Bull have a faster car for quali and for race, tactics come into play and traffic etc. -30Was this answer helpful? – Slim 14-Nov-2015
Vettele mentioned in a post race irtenview that they were a few Ideas as to where the the qualifying pace goes come race day so my guess is its not quite as simple as Vettles race pace, more a question of the cars balance when high on fuel. Redbull say they run more rake on there car compared to that of there closest rivals. Perhaps this has something to do with it whe fully fueld. Some people seem to think that they have problem running the Renault engine at its max during the race. What you can garantee is that Redbull (unfortunatly) will know what it is and will sort the problem out. They do after all have Newey. -38 – Sadeep 13-Nov-2015

In qualifying DRS can be used aernhwye, in the race only in defined places and only when close to another car. The choice of 7th gear is important is it optimised for qualifying or the race?As shown in Spa, Red Bull are running extreme negative camber on the front wheels, this together with lower tyre pressures in qualifying has helped give them a one lap advantage, which is lost as soon as the higher race day pressures are run (needed to make the tyres last). Also, Red Bull still have a compromised KERS, so maybe they are only using it for Q3 (when Vettel pulls out an previously unseen advantage) and for short periods of the race (opening two laps, and around pitstops). +4 – Sheety 26-Oct-2015
Re clean to dirty , Alonso started on the dirty side and the idnsie he moved to the clean side asap (of course), to the right side to brake for the corner (of course) and to cover the guy behind him (of course). He was also ahead into the corner, and during the whole non incident .Really, what did Hamilton EXPECT? He's racing Alonso for the title, screwed him over in Hungary, and has been mouthing off in the press. Then he decides to place himself outside Alonso and expects Alonso to roll over and just let Hamilton drive past? Seriously, I'd have lost all respect for Alonso if he didn't robustly defend his position. No constructor points to care about, even if that were the main thing of course he will defend. From Hamilton's viewpoint, it's okay to chuckle about Oops I came from a bit far back when lunging past and banging wheels with Kimi at Monza (absolutely fair, and no complaint from anyone), but not okay when Alonso doesn't allow the same (no complaint from anyone but Hamilton not the UK media, not any other driver asked, not Ron Dennis only Lewis). If he believes there was an issue he needs to grow up. If he's trying to play the media (as I hope is the case) do it better. – Marian 18-Jul-2015
he was confident the taictc had been correct. The last lap is the best, said Massa. Normally it is a mistake if you don't use the tyres at the beginning [of their lives]. But it's not the case. Alonso felt the tyres had not been a huge factor in Ferrari's struggle and that it was another case of it lacking qualifying pace relative to his title rival Sebastian Vettel's Red Bull, which claimed pole.Asked about the scrubbed tyre choice, Alonso replied: I think it was very similar. I think there was no difference. We decided to start with the scrubbed thinking it was not better or not worse. I don't think there was any problem with that. We were positions seventh and ninth in Abu Dhabi [qualifying]. The car is more or less the same. We are positions seventh and ninth in Austin. It's not surprising for us, to be honest. Alonso stood by his post-qualifying declaration that he was certain he could beat Vettel on Sunday despite starting so far behind. We said yesterday after qualifying Red Bull will probably be one and two, we will probably be seventh or eighth and people will say it's all over, Alonso said. Then on Sunday we will show that we can score more points than Vettel. I don't know how, but we have this feeling inside. Source: Autosport.com – Salih 17-Jul-2015
